Join this EU-Japan cooperation webinar on IoT Security and related standardisation and certification issues! This InDiCo webinar will be co-chaired by the MIC of Japan and by the European Commission DG CONNECT.
Internet of Things systems and application, leveraging the new capabilities of fixed and 5G mobile communications technologies, extend to a wide range of domains, from transport to industry, healthcare to agriculture, etc.
Interoperability, sustainability, scalability, and security of these IoT systems and devices is critical to their success and adoption.
Together with the Standards Development Organizations of South Korea, India, China and the US, TTC (The Telecommunication Technology Committee) and ETSI are founding partners of the oneM2M alliance, which has developed common standards for an open service layer for the development of IoT applications, independent of the underlying connectivity standards and protocols.
The objective of this webinar will be to create a common vision of IoT devices and systems security vulnerabilities and to share good practices in terms of regulation, standardization and certification. EU and Japan have a longstanding history of cooperation in the ICT policy and standardization domain, which now needs to be extended across sector to cover the broad scope of IoT systems and applications.
The agenda will cover the following topics:
- Framework to understand various types of IoT devices
- IoT Security guidelines in Japan and Europe
- Measures on IoT devices vulnerabilities
- Market access for IoT devices manufacturers (mandatory requirements and certification of IoT Security)
The final agenda is available here.
