ETSI and EUROCITIES representative Mr. Christophe COLINET made a keynote presentation, 14 September 2020, on IoT Standards for Smart Cities in Europe at the 2020 virtual edition of the IoT International Symposium, organized by the Smart IoT Acceleration Forum and MIC of Japan

ETSI and EUROCITIES representative Christophe COLINET gave a keynote presentation at Japan IoT International Symposium 2020, as part of a session dedicated to Japan – Europe collaboration to the promotion of data utilization in the smart city field.

The IoT International Symposium is a yearly event organized by the Smart IoT Acceleration Forum and MIC of Japan, gathering academia, industry, service providers and stakeholders of the IoT ecosystem.

At the invitation of MIC, ETSI was offered the opportunity to present an Overview of IoT Standards for Smart Cities in Europe.

Christophe COLINET is EUROCITIES Chairman of Standardization and Interoperability Group and ETSI Chairman of the ATTM SDMC Working Group, as well as member of InDiCo Stakeholders Group. His opening keynote on IoT Standards for Smart Cities in Europe was recorded and subtitled in Japanese.

This presentation was later viewed by the Japanese live panelists, which included :
  - Mr. Goto Kodama (Manager, ICT Strategy Division, ICT Strategy Office, Fukuoka City General Affairs Planning Bureau)
  - Mr. Haruyuki Seki (Representative Director, Code for Japan)
  - Mr. Yasunori Mochizuki (NEC Fellow, NEC Corporation)

The discussion of the panel was moderated by Noboru Koshizuka (Director, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, The University of Tokyo).
