FutureCom Digital Week 2020

For a better recognition of the European 3GPP and oneM2M standards within the Brazilian industries and to reinforce the cooperation between EU and Brazil on key ICT policy and standardization topics. InDiCo is seizing the opportunity of the FutureCom digital week in Brazil to share 3 successful experiences in the strategic domains of 5G and IOT.

On Tuesday, October 27th (5G track), from 10:00 to 10:20 am (EU Time)

Pedro Henrique Gomes , Senior Researcher at Ericsson Research, Brazil - member of ETSI Zero-Touch Network & Service Management working group will share its experience and knowledge on the 5G Benefits in the Smart Agriculture domain

On Tuesday, October 27th (5G track), from 14.00 to 14:20 (EU Time)

Adrian SCRASE, CTO and Head of the Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) at ETSI, a well-known and recognized international expert from ETSI and a key member of the 3GPP community will share the latest news on 5G standards and expose the benefits of the 5G technology in the Smart Health domain.

On October 28th  (IoT track), from 10.00 to 10.20 am (EU Time)

Christophe Colinet, Smart City Project manager in Bordeaux, France, member EuroCities and member of ETSI working group on Sustainable Digital Multiservice Cities will share a successful implementation of a smart city project in Europe, based on the global and open oneM2M standard and its alignment with sustainable developments goals.

CEATEC 2020 ONLINE

EU DG Connect, ETSI, 3GPP and InDiCo Stakeholders representatives will participate to CEATEC 2020 online edition, in sessions dedicated to EU-Japan cooperation in digital policy, regulations and standardization.

Following the successful participation at the CEATEC 2019 conference in Tokyo last year and leveraging on the close bilateral relationship established between EU and Japan over the past decade, DG Connect of the EU and MIC and METI of Japan have agreed to jointly hold the following sessions at the upcoming CEATEC 2020 virtual conference :

  • Digital Policy and Regulations
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • 5G Mobile Communications and beyond

The InDiCo project is facilitating the organization of these sessions, with the participation of 3GPP, ETSI, ARIB, TTC and Stakeholders from the European and Japanese ICT Industry.

CEATEC stands for the Combined Exhibition of Advanced TEChnologies, it is Japan's largest IT and electronics exhibition and conference and organized by JEITA, Japan Electronic Information Technology Association.

TTA-ETSI Online Workshop on EU-Korea Cooperation

EU DG Connect, TTA, ETSI and InDiCo Stakeholders representatives will participate to the GISC 2020 online edition, in a session dedicated to EU-South Korean cooperation in digital policy, regulations and standardization.

Leveraging on the close relationships established between the DG Connect of the EU, ETSI, TTA and the MSIT of South Korea, ETSI and TTA have agreed to jointly hold the following sessions at the upcoming GISC 2020 virtual conference:.

  • Seizing the opportunities of a digital society: the European and South Korean ICT and Standardization Strategies
  • Data Economy and Data privacy
  • Standards in support of Smart Cities

The InDiCo project is facilitating the organization of these sessions, with the participation of EU DG Connect, MSIT, TTA, ETSI and Stakeholders from the European and South Korean ICT Industry.

GISC stands for Global International Standards Conference, it is the South Korean largest events dedicated to ICT Standardization. It is jointly organized by South Korean Governmental, Industry, Research & University representatives (MSIT, RRA, TTA, ETRI, KISTA, KAIA).

IoT oneM2M Hackathon

InDiCo, ETSI and the University of Málaga are pleased to invite you to participate in a oneM2M Hackathon from 13th to 15th March 2020 held at the University of Málaga, Spain.

This activity is supported by oneM2M and the InDiCo Project, a project funded by the European Union and coordinated by ETSI.

A tutorial will take place on the first day in order to introduce the oneM2M standard and the Eclipse OM2M open source project, followed by the actual hackathon.

This competition is aimed at students regardless of the field of their training as well as staff from local start-ups. It is mainly intended for engineering students but it can also be extended to other students regardless of their registration institution.
The participation can take place on an individual basis or as teams of 2 persons (multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged).

Industry training on oneM2M @ IEEE Globecom

InDiCo will support the promotion of the oneM2M Common Service Layer by offering an introduction to oneM2M to the participants in one of the flagship events of IEEE Communication Society.

The training will first provide an overview of the oneM2M standards with a tutorial relying on simple examples and demonstrations.

This will be followed by hands-on exercises allowing participants to develop basic applications making use of the oneM2M Common Service Layer

Tutorial/Hackaton on the oneM2M Common Service Layer

Workshop on standards for IoT

InDiCo will hold a workshop to highlight the value of standards in IoT, in a context where traditional industry sectors get increasingly connected, and where interoperability needs become critical.

The workshop will focus on the priorities highlighted in the Brazilian IoT National Plan i.e. Smart Cities, Health Care, Rural and Industry and demonstrate the benefits of the use of a common service layer to enable cross-sector interoperability.
